The Global Funds
I see myself as a champion, and those who are champions can create change.
My story, my platform, my voice and my athletic abilities can help start conversations, bring focus to an issue and make noise where it’s needed and necessary.
My role is to amplify the Global Fund’s call to action: We must invest in programs that can really make a difference in the fight against malaria.
I hope that, as a survivor, my story will inspire governments, aid agencies, and private partners to support the Global Fund, so that we can end malaria. I want to lend my voice to the Global Fund’s cause and speak alongside people who confront malaria every day.
The WanderSafe App
Rodriguez’s drive towards helping countries and organisations meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals – particularly those that empower women and girls and support the eradication of violence against women – is embodied in the WanderSafe app.
WanderSafe is used in 57 countries and Rodriguez is the Founder and CEO. Rodriguez is also a TEDx speaker and works with large companies around the globe to ensure that innovation serves those living with impairments. She has also won awards for digital transformation and social media, is an author, motivational speaker and Ambassador for TheGlobalFund.org which works to raise awareness and funding to beat malaria – the cause of Rodriguez’s limb loss.
“Rodriguez is also keen to make a contribution to building the profile of wheelchair fencing around the world.
The Australian brings a huge amount of knowledge from her professional career in digital marketing, as well as an entrepreneur and influencer”
